From initial booking, to our departure on Sunday, our stay at the Tibbiwell Lodge was perfect. Richard is a fantastic host, with every final detail having been thought of. He is an absolute perfectionist and this shows in both the quality of his property and his approach towards all of his guests. The setting of the property is beautiful, the standard of the rooms is exceptional, breakfast was delicious and all of the little added extras, made our stay a fantastic one. Read less

It's impossible to narrow this down to just one thing! You are given such a personal service, which is so rare now. It is priceless.
Dislikes:
There was absolutely nothing we disliked about our stay! We maybe would've prefered tea/coffee facilities in our room, but this is in no way a critiscm, just a personal preference.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tibbiwell Lodge and felt very 'at home' there. The owner Richard is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Tea/Coffee can be made at any time in the breakfast room. The room was very comfortable with a covered balcony to sit out on during better weather with wonderful views over a valley. As it was Valentines weekend, it was a lovely touch to receive a bottle of sparling wine, chocolates and flowers! Terrae oom Read less

The friendly atmosphere and warm welcome at Tibbiwell. Painswick village and the lovely walks around the area can't be beaten.

STOP PRESS!! From 31st March 2010 Tibbiwell lodge will have a self-catering cottage unit complete with its own comfortable facilities to sleep 2 or 4 people. Breakfast in the lodge is an option.
The Tibbiwell Lodge is 200 yards from Painswick Town Centre and nestled into the side of the valley, Tibbiwell Lodge feels as if it is miles from anywhere.
With its fantastic views and superb location it is the perfect place to get away from it all whilst still having all facilities within walking distance.
Painswick is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the Lodge benefits from beautiful views over the valley, a fact which has been taken into consideration when designing your rooms.
The south-facing rooms all have balconies or terraces for you to enjoy these views to the full.
The comfortable oak-floored Dining Room with its open fireplace is generous in size and nicely proportioned for you to be able to enjoy your breakfast chosen from our comprehensive menu.
There is also a tree house in the garden where children can play.
