"A perfect pub B&B, better than we were expecting"
Extremely enjoyable, a very comfortable, quiet room, and excellent restaurant. We also gratly enjoyed the local walks.

We book into the Black Horse Inn whenever we come to Kent on business. Very friendly welcome each time, you feel very valued. Best of all is the food we have eaten some excellent meals here! Breakfast is prepared to order with local ingredients and a help yourself selection of cereals, toast and jams, freshly prepared fruit salad.

The rooms are super:clean, nicely presented, nice toiletries, iron & board in room. The food - the pub serves an excellent menu full of amazing dished and lots of seasonal specials.Very friendly staff

The Black Horse Inn is a very quaint little in in Detling, nice for postcard or to call in for a quick pint, but it lets itself down as a hotel. price wise its not bad value, although there are other hotels in the area which have a better atmosphere, more facilities and similar pricing. The pub has a fancy chef who thinks that arranging a small quantity of food on a plate make it worth charging retaurant prices,and it is catered more to eating than to drinking or relaxing. Read less

The hotel positively welcomed our dog. All of the staff were very friendly. The room was fresh and clean. The bar and dining room were clean and comfortable. The dog was not restricted to room only.
Dislikes:
The toilet was broken but the receptionist apologised and knocked some off the bill - she was generous and helpful. We did not receive our correct dinner bill but only noticed this on the way home.

The rooms were super-clean and the rain shower was great. It was quiet at night for a restful sleep.
Dislikes:
We are like to read at night and the lighting was very inadequate for that activity. A reading light on the bedside table would be a nice addition.
