We arrived in the afternoon, were given tea and went for a walk along the nearby Marriott's Way. Had an excellent dinner and a very comfortable night. After a good breakfast we went into Norwich and attended a matinee performance at the Theatre Royal. The hotel experience was a lot better than the play! Read less

The country house atmosphere and the pictures in our room and all through the hotel. Friendliness of staff and excellent dinner. Good advice about a short walk.

Myself and my partner stayed here for two nights on a short break in Norfolk. We wanted a good quality stay and that's exactly what we got. It's just a mile or so from Norwich Airport (great if you are flying from there) and the noise was very low and infrequent. Read less

The staff were extremely polite and the room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable and there was a good on suite shower. Breakfast was superb and a perfect choice for us.
Dislikes:
Only the fact that we had to eventually leave - we could happily have stayed for weeks!

rooms were nice bathroom spacious. Good breakfast bar had a nice selection including a local ale.
Dislikes:
as with most hotels nowadays the room was very hot and needed adjusting

Although the night coincided with a 40th anniversary celebration with 80 guests the staff made sure our needs were met and we were made to feel their most important guests.
Dislikes:
I genuinely can not think of any problem even of the slightest importance and I have been known to offer critical advice.

The building was picturesque.Friendly staff.Handu location for visting Norwich and North Norfolk.Handy for local pubs.
Dislikes:
Avoid the bar when there is a wedding party as they share the facilities.
Did not use the restaurant on the Saturday night because of the wedding although there was the option available.

The busy bar on wedding days is not ideal but there should always be a quieter space offered in the lounge and you can eat comfortably in the restaurant without even realising there is a party at the other end of the building.
