One week stay in June at the Whitsand self-catering apartment during which we attended a family wedding at nearby Polhawn Fort. The week was very relaxing, the charming farmhouse set in a beautiful, peaceful rural location. Our stay was enhanced by the very friendly and helpful owners who provided help and advice. The rooms were spotlessly clean and generally well equipped, with very comfortable beds and a large, airy lounge/dining room. Read less

Quiet location, within walking distance of great coastal scenery/walks.
Within easy reach of Fort and Cawsand.
Owners' generosity, e.g. providing lift to wedding and local eggs!
Internet access.
Dislikes:
The hot water system was a bit difficult to get used to due to the delay before the hot water flowed properly.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. We were greeted warmly by Karen and shared a few laughs with Paul over a lesson pottery making. The room was spacious, comfortable and the homemade cookies on arrival were a sweet touch (and delicious). Breakfast was excellent and we made as much use of the barbeque as possible! The house has been lovingly restored and it was a privilege to stay there. Read less

Everything! Karen and Paul are lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable. Pottery making was a lot of fun. Barbequing was great. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time.

My partner and I stayed two nights in this beautiful B&B, while attending a wedding at the nearby fort. Our room was beautifully decorated, along with the rest of the house. The owner made us feel very welcome and at ease. This B&B was ideally located for the wedding we were attending as it was only a short scenic walk away. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful , the home made granola especially tasty. I would defiantly recommend this B&B as a beautiful, romantic getaway. Read less

The total peace also helped a good nights sleep. Paul had that hard to master balance of being such a help but not in your face. Great location if going to a wedding at the Fort. Read less

The breakfast cooked by Paul was magnificant and really sets you up for the day. Eggs are fresh from the hens outside. A real belly buster!
Dislikes:
There was nothing we did not like about the stay. Have already highly recommended to friends!
