the hotel is very clean and modern with everything you will need in the rooms,the food is allso cooked fresh for you, the breakfast has choices to cater for every taste.

Within easy reach of seafront and Town centre and other great beaches etc,but very quiet and restful.Come and go as you please and no pressure.

It was a well run pleasant hotel,,, Nothing was any bother, food was very very good....Not a 5 star hotel but I don't like 5 star hotels... Very friendly people. For what we payed it was FAB

Pam, David and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Pam was knowledgeable about the area and gave us some good tips. The evening meals were first class with plenty of choice and excellent value.

The Mount Edgcombe is a very friendly and spotless hotel the breakfasts were fantastic and Pam and David very helpful at suggesting places to see.
Dislikes:
We could not find any faults with this hotel and we have stayed in several over the years.

We stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We stayed Tuesday to Saturday. David and Pam made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. My husband had contacted Pam and made arrangements to have a dozen red roses and a bottle of champagne in our room when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel is in a good location, everything is within easy walking distance. Next time we visit Torquay we will stay here, what more can we say. Read less

The hotel in general was well maintained, the room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was great, a good selection to choose from. David and Pam were very good hosts.
