On arrival we were excited about staying at the vidella due to seeing it on the programme "4 in a bed", however the first family room we were put in did not meet the expectations we had due too the reviews we read and also what we saw on the programme. After speaking to Neill.we were shown to another family room which was more appropriate but had a very small toilet with a systern that was difficult to flush. The service was great, the food was lovely and we slept well. Read less

The hosts were comical and pleasant at all times and meeting their two lovely dogs Georgia and Mildred made it even more enjoyable.
Dislikes:
the standard of the downstairs room (28) and the small toilet in the room upstairs.

So was cold. Everytime we moved the bed moved with is. The kettle needed descailing.... Breakfast times should be longer. The tv is as old as me, 25. It was that tiny couldn't even see what was on. Read less

Loved the location of the hotel, very central and owners have a sound knowlege of the local area and whats on.
Dislikes:
If I had to comment on this section I would say thst the bathrooms are needing updated. What it lacks in some areas it def makes up for in others.

Glad that you had a fun time here and enjoyed your stay. We are currently updating ensuites one by one. So some are new and some do need updating (cosmetically only, as all work properly). I would like to point out that all are fully functioning and clean. My aim over the quieter winter months is to add more photos of the rooms on the website.
