localtion great for us.. pub nice and friendly.
Dislikes:
breakfast not til 8.30???or continental if earlier ?no good.... sign for times stuck on a shelf!! not much choice. food in bar ok,,,no salads no fish only in batter? of very hot fish pie..

We arrived earlier than expected and were told the room was not ready. We had a cup of tea and then drove into Burford. Upon our return we were shown to the Spice Room. The room was atmospheric with a large bed. The problem was that one side was against the wall. To get into and out of bed you had to climb over each other.
The shower was great and water flowed freely. We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave. Read less

The location, the friendliness of the staff, breakfast and dinner were great and well prepared and organized.
Dislikes:
The bed being up against the wall.

We could not fault food in any way. The chef is to be congratulated. In fact we couldn't think of anywhere else we'd enjoyed better cuisine.
Dislikes:
The room could have been bit quieter later in evening. We went to chill out as we care for both our mums who live with us & needed to rejuvinate for couple of days as very demanding & exhausting job!

The room was lovely, they were really accommodating with our dog and the food was amazing - we both had the roast pork was delicious and the puddings were huge and equally delicious.

This is basically a traditional english pub with 5 rooms. I've stayed in loads of places in the Cotswolds and this is probably the best value for money. Room was clean, in great condition and quite large (we stayed in the China Seas room) compared to other Cotswolds hotels. Bathroom was small and modern with great shower. Food was excellent. Staff were great and dogs are welcome.
The Lamb is about 10-15 mins from Burford and about 25mins from Witney Read less

We really liked the fact that there were only 5 rooms and we could take our dog.
The food was great and we loved the relaxed, friendly helpful atmosphere.

The room is a tad noisy during dinner hours, but we were enjoying the restaurant ourselves, so we didn't mind that at all. The service was wonderful--very friendly and competent staff. Read less

The breakfast was also very very good. A lovely selection of fruits, cereals etc and then a choice of full english, salmon and eggs or egg on toast. We opted for the full english and it was beautiful. The sausages were from a local farm and just delicious. Read less

Happy to discuss with owners if they wish. Did not bring it up at checkout as we were having some well deserved time together and did not want to spoil it, I would usually prefer to discuss at time. The village setting and the pub itself were stunning. Staff were great and the breakfast really tasty.
Dislikes:
The postal address was High St Chipping Norton but pub was 6 miles away. Room was very disappointing, bathroom cold, cracked bath panel and toilet flush very loose, overall not inviting.
