After a long day walking the Kennet & Avon canal we arrived to a warm welcome and a cup of tea. A lovely bathroom, bedroom and guest sitting room allowed us to recover from our exertions ready for the next day. A tranquil setting a lovely garden and there were so many nice 'touches'. The breakfast really set us up for the day with a wide selection both offered and consumed (I do like to try everything). Read less

It would be impossible not to enjoy a stay in this well located B&B. Sue and her husband were incredibly friendly and helpful. The spacious room was comfy and very clean with a lovely rural aspect, yet only 20 minutes walk by footpath to Devizes. There is plentiful information available to help you make the most of your stay from dining suggestions to local history info. Best of all Sue cooks delicious fresh breakfasts with local ingredients and had homemade flapjacks ready at the end of the day Read less

Southdown, owned and run by Sue and Martyn, is a very comfortable place to stay, very conveniently located for Devizes and its environs, yet very quiet. We chose to stay here in order to explore possibilities of relocation to the Devizes area. Sue was a mine of information and returning to her peaceful home at the end of a long day's exploring was a delight. Read less
