We arrived very wet and muddy from a days cycling and in need of warmth, tea and a hot shower. Sue could not have been more helpful by letting us use the hose to get clean and then lending us slipper… Read more

Sue could not have been more helpful by letting us use the hose to get clean and then lending us slippers after helping us stuff our shoes with paper to dry them out and washing our socks out in the sink!!! Read less

Sue and her husband were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were immaculate. The facilities were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
Dislikes:
We enjoyed everything at Southdown, brilliant stay!!!!

This excellent B and B is about one mile before Devizes on the Wessex Ridgeway walk from Marlborough, making a more manageable day. For our evening meal we walked (on paths) into town - the Black Swan does good reasonably priced meals - and took a taxi back -rank is opposite pub. Read less

Lots of extra touches, dressing gown in wardrobe, nice toiletries, choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate in separate lounge with lots of lovely biscuits. Full English breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere. My husband's poached egg was just done to perfection. Have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone. Read less

Our bedroom (Coffee) was very clean and tidy as was the recently decorated en suite bathroom. The breakfasts were locally sourced and very tasty!
