Our Matlock accommodation provides the choice of twelve comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own special character. All have en-suite facilities, all with showers and one with a bath and shower. Each room is equipped with colour TV and all you need to make a nice cup of tea or coffee.
Hall Leys Park is on the opposite bank from the guesthouse and is a beautifully maintained area in which to stroll, listen to the brass band and have a light lunch at the Park Café. Children can enjoy the freedom to run, paddle, go on the miniature railway play put-put or make new friends at the play area with swings, slides etc.
Within walking distance of Riverbank House are several fine restaurants and pubs in the town centre. You will not lack good places to eat. The bus and railway station are only five minutes walk from us and we regularly welcome visitors using these excellent facilities.
Our Matlock bed and breakfast accommodation is ideally placed for walkers, cyclists and potholers. Whether you’re athletic or not, we’ll set you up for the day with our hearty breakfasts, using local produce, be it full English or continental. All tastes can be catered for including vegetarian, celiac, vegan, just ask, and we’ll oblige...we’ll even go fishing for kippers...
Built in the 1860’s, this Matlock b and b is a spacious Victorian house of character. A large garden on the river is available for guests to relax in (weather permitting) and we are happy to provide seating and even the odd hammock for you to while away those sunny hours. If you are a fisher-man, or -woman, then we are the only guest house with our own rights to fish, for trout, grayling or chubb.
Our bed and breakfast hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Matlock to explore the town and its attractions. If you are attending a function or wedding reception at Cromwell Hotel or County Hall we are within walking distance. Riber Hall Hotel and New Bath Hotel are not far.
