The Guest House is located just off the Main Street which is a village road and is a comfortable 30 minute (level) walk into the town of Skipton. To the rear we have open countryside and is very peaceful. In Spring guests can watch the lambs racing around in the field. In Autumn the colours are spectacular and in winter we have lovely slopes to slide down. And in summer just relax - everywhere is beautiful when the sun is shining!!

A59 A65 - East (A1/M1 Harrogate/Leeds)

From North and East. On entering Skipton Bypass follow the signs for Burnley and Clitheroe going around 3 roundabouts. After crossing the River Aire and going past the last turn off for Skipton, take your next left turn for Carleton. Travel along this country lane (Heslaker Lane) until you reach the village. Drive through the village and turn left at the junction with The Swan pub on your right. Poppy Cottage Guest House is on your right. Taxi ranks at the station to bring you into the village. Across from the station carpark is the road sign showing Carleton New Road, follow this up and follow the left hand bend. When the road comes to a T junction take the right turn and stay on this road into Carleton. The Guest House is at the beginning of the village and on the left. From South into Skipton arriving on the A629. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Skipton bypass following the signs for Harrogate. At the next roundabout take your first exit onto A59 following signs for Colne & Clitheroe. Go past the turn off to your left into Skipton and cross the River Aire. Take your next left turn for Carleton. Travel along Heslaker lane into the village turning left at The Swan pub. We are on the right of Main Street. From the west travelling on the A59 (A65) and on entering the outskirts of Skipton just after Broughton and Broughton Hall, you will see a sign post for Carleton to your right. Take this right turn and travel along the lane into the village and turn left at The Swan pub. Travel down the road (Main Street) and you will see Poppy Cottage Guest House on your right.
