The relaxed atmosphere; the service was not intrusive but one always knew that any reasonable request would be met with a smile.I can't remember the last time I eat so many superb meals.

Welcomed with a pot of tea and the opportunity to relax in the amazingly deep bath before a beautifully cooked dinner in the restaurant. The room was simple, unfussy with a hugely comfortable bed. Looked forward to getting up for the homecooked breakfast, all local ingredients - yummy! The hosts Jools and Sally are really welcoming and give the Pilgrims a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The room decor is stylish, the bar still retains the feel of a pub with the lovely stone and cosy bar and the restaurant isn't grand -proximity to great local attractions - Wells, Glastonbury, Yeovil

The food was excellent and the rooms are very comfortable and clean and reasonably quiet.Sally and Jools are extremely friendly and could not do enough for us like storing a large item we had with us.
Dislikes:
The only slightly negative comment would be that a condiment set would be nice at dinner as well as breakfast as we all season and taste our food differently.

Dislikes:
No, but the 'wet' style bathroom with walk in rain shower can get quite wet on the floor.

The Pilgrims at Lovington is very deserving of its impressive awards and will not disappoint. To regale too many details might spoil some of the surprise, suffice to say that the combination of the stylish accomodation and culinary delights present a rare treat. The whole experience of a couple of nights should be somewhat unique and therefore memorable. Highly recommended to those who can appreciate just how good food can be. Read less

Everything but in particular the hospitality of Sally and Jools who were very welcoming. The food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. We will definitely return for another visit.

Breakfast and our evening meal were on par with any posh London hotel. Most ingrendients were locally sourced, organic and the food tasted beyond our expectations!
Dislikes:
There was not a great view from our room, but friendliness and excellent food made up for more than this
