It was hoped that this would be a very special visit. It was. Suzy and Colin were so understanding and helpful and they could not have made our stay any more special than it was. They have become special friends now whether they know it or not. Three glorious nights. The house is warm and cosy. Suppers were delicious and breakfast set us up for the day. It was an ideal haven for what we wanted and needed and it will be special to us. We'll be back again without doubt. Read less

Everything. The house was just right for us. the ambiance was very special indeed and we shall treasure that. And we shall never get over the special kindness of Suzy and Colin.
Dislikes:
That we didn't have time to stay longer! Otherwise we could not fault our stay in any way whatsoever.

We visited Coxwold last trip to England to see Shandy Hall. We were so taken by the village that we wanted to spend a few days this trip. The relatively remote location of the House and its being a Wolsey Lodge recommended it to us. We were able to walk to and from the village pub for dinner, which was convenient and fun. Visiting Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard was easy, and the close proximity of a pond with swans and ducks where drivers regularly stopped to feed them was also charming. Read less

The room was spacious, the bathroom spotless and up to date, the view scenic, and the breakfast excellent, with a good choice of delicious food. Our hostess was very smart, friendly, and knowledgeable
