Paid for 2 nights left after one, rooms and bathrooms are shabby and are desperatly in need of refurbishment. Rooms with a view are very noisy from both the road and all night party people. Windows are single glazed, some even have uncracked glass in them. I would chew my own arm off rather than spend another night in this hotel. Definatly not for a young family. Read less

Breakfast and leaving early, staff were really helpfull and offered us another room, unfortunatly this room was also in a poor state of repair so we left a day early.
Dislikes:
Rooms were not very clean and in a desperate state of repair. Seaview rooms are Noisy from both the road and lots of Party peaople till about 4am! (this was a Monday evening)

When we arrived the receptionist was nice & helpful and the bar outside area was very relaxing (although quite pricey - as was most of Brighton). When we were able to check into our room, we were quite pleased at the sea view and the nice room size & location.....this was short lived as we soon realised in the evening the room was in the worst noisiest location in the hotel - right by the club smoking area and hallway that lead there, which lasted until gone 3am! How helpful the 2nd receptionist was (between about 5 & 10pm), also the actual room size and view was lovely. The hotel location was good too. Also the nice relaxed bar outside area and jolly bastaff.
Dislikes:
The fact that our hotel room was the noisiest hotel room re. People noise that I have ever been in.

Likes:
A good nights sleep with no disturbing noises from other guests entering or leaving their rooms. No noise from toilets etc. in other rooms.

I spent a long time researching the internet before deciding on the New Madeira Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. I parked on the seafront and walked to the hotel. The reception was friendly. I was given a room on the third floor; it was quiet and warm and a good size for a single. It had tea and coffee making facilities (a must for me), a desk/dressing table, a mirror, a small wardrobe, a bedside cabinet and a small telly. From my window I could see the lit-up Big Wheel and the Palace Pier. Read less

I liked my room and my own en-suite. The room was newly refurbished. The carpet,linen and the towels were spotless. It felt cosy. I loved the sea view and the location. Perfect for a short stay.

Fantastic location, great breakfast - hotel was 500% better than most of the reviews I read. Good value for money - very comfortable and clean room, seaview - you cant beat it - helpful staff and the nightclub did not impede on our stay. We were a family of 6 - One elderly lady, 2 over 60s,1 over 50, 1 over 40 and a 6 year old - no complaints from any of us. Read less

Enjoyed this stay so much that we will rebook for a few days in the summer. The location is a real bonus. Take advantage of their limited parking facility.
