"Luxurious hideaway lost in time!"
This charming hotel oozes character and is beautifully appointed from floor to ceiling with fine furnishings, antiques and books in and comfortable old fashioned style. The atmosphere and friendly staff offer a reclusion away from the busy daytime activity of visitors to Porlock Weir while you can relax in the drawing room overlooking the harbour or take refreshments on the harbourside restaurant/bar. I left wanting more! Read less

A very enjoyable weekend. I was based in Luccombe for the weekend with former members of the St Albans Cathedral Choir who have camped there for over 50 years so it was great to have such a good hotel within driving distance. Will definitely return. Read less

The Duty Manager Marie was a really nice person, very friendly, customer oriented and competent. She is to be complimented - such people are 'gold dust' to experienced travellers like myself
Dislikes:
It took a while for hot water to come through the shower - lots if water wasted.

"Great experience in a quirky venue"
Stayed for one night to celebrate my wife finishing university studies as we have cut back on travel for the past couple of years. This was a really quirky place full of character, the staff remembered our names too which was a nice touch. We used the lounge areas to relax with a drink and also used the restaurant. I would say our evening meal was the standard of a good pub rather than a good restaurant but we loved the way the restaurant was laid out. Read less

The atmosphere and the staff plus of course the quirkiness, little lounge areas etc.....
Dislikes:
If i was brutally honest I would say the the hotel could be a bit cleaner in the communal use areas and some pieces of room furniture were very tired but I this down to being pet friendly.

Lovely greeting after a tough drive. Nice lady went out of her way to get our dinner order to the chef in time. We arrived at 08:50. Thank you. A large Millers and tonic was like nectar...
