An ideal central location near the main A1 allowed us to visit Beamish in the South and Edinburgh in the North.
Dislikes:
Only minor niggle was no Wifi access which makes it more difficult to research places to visit.

The room and facilities were over and above that expected for a B&B, more like a hotel. The resturant was welcoming with main evening meals being of exceptional quality and value.
Dislikes:
The tea and coffee wasn't very pleasant and seemed to taste odd. The breakfast choices felt limited however for a B&B they were probably adequate.

Ideal for our needs as a couple with a teenage daughter. We liked the room size and the separate sleeping areas. This meant that we were close to our daughter but had our own space. Two televisions also suited our needs. Beds were very comfortable and we had a good, peaceful night's sleep. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed the Friday night quiz and our meals were very good. The menu had a good selection for us all and I was impressed that the children's meals are free. Liked the ale too. Read less
