One night (the first for us in Northern Ireland). Robert had booked dinner for us in a local restaurant, and without having spoken to either of us he seemed to know exactly the sort of place and food that we would like.
We stayed one night and moved on the next day. Our next hotel was truly awful and had we known that NI was so easy to drive around we might well have stayed put at Marlagh Lodge. Read less

The only improvement I can think of would be bigger bath towels.

"Absolute gem"
A friend and I stayed at Marlagh Lodge for two nights in December. Everything about the Lodge was wonderful. Robert and Rachel are excellent hosts - very friendly but never overbearing. The house itself - a lovingly restored 19thC building - is absolutely beautiful. And the attention to detail is amazing - from the mineral water and snacks in the rooms, to the dressing gowns and extra heaters on a snowy day. The food was also fabulous. My friend and I are real food snobs and perhaps difficult Read less

We stayed at Marlagh Lodge on the way back from Bushmills to Belfast during our first short visit to Northern Ireland. We stayed for 1 night including dinner. We were made very welcome throughout our stay and it felt like we were friends visiting for the weekend more than staying in a hotel. The house is grand Victorian and the dinner was of superb quality served in the candlelit dining room. We slept well in a massive four poster bed and for breakfast porridge with whiskey. Read less
