Thank you Brian and Anne for posting this great review, we're delighted you enjoyed your stay with us at Maple Bank. Since moving here in 2007 we have replaced all the showers as and when they have broken, except the one in room 1, as it has yet to stop working. But your feedback is very valuble to us and we shall have a look at this shower and review the situatuion.

We stayed for four nights during a walking holiday short-break. As I am slightly injured, the owners were really helpful and had walking sticks and poles available for guest use (we both ended up using the walking sticks). They were also helpful in lending me an umbrella to cope with the torrential and constant rain during our stay.
The breakfasts were excellent and my perennial favourite starter, fruit salad, was available every morning. The cooked breakfasts were great too... Read less

Mainly the helpfulness of the owners in lending us things like umbrellas and walking sticks.
Dislikes:
I think there should be more drying facilities available for a 'walking area' where the weather is often appalling.

Good location we were able to use our bus passes to get into Keswick only 7 minutes away. There was also a local pub with very good food a short walk away.… Read more
