we stayed one night en route to Harwich for a cruise to the Baltic. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The room was small but adequate for our needs. Everything was spotlessly clean.
We had a few drinks in the bar which was cosy and welcoming. The atmosphere was great as it was full of local people. Nearly all the tables were full even though it was a Monday evening. We had a wonderful two course meal. The portions were ample and there was a good choice of food. Read less

Bathroms were substandard even for the UK. Rooms ceiling is not suitable for people of normal height.

The food was great - had dinner on night of arrival and the biggest breakfast in the morning. Fantastic!
Dislikes:
Was a bit disappointed that accommodation wasn't actually in the thatched pub area, nevertheless the stay was enjoyable.
