The rooms were good and warm - dispite the snow and frezing weather - the pub has a good feel and breakfast was good.
Dislikes:
When we stayed here last the evening meals were excellant - sadly now they have gone the same as other pubs with poor quality - portion controlled pub food - have to say we will not stay here again.

Dislikes:
the talk about the Ghost in rooms 4/5, we slept in 4 but didn't see the ghost, we kept our eyes shut all night!!!!!

just came to this beautiful village for a bit of a change of scenery and rest after a stressful time. Completely the right place to come. The pub and village and surrounding area is beautiful and we thorough enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and even found a scrabble board for us to while away an hour whilst it was snowing outside. Highly recommended. Read less

Fantastic village and cosy rooms. Excellent food, service and beer in the pub and a nice breakfast to go with it.
Dislikes:
Wifi signal was a bit confined.

Felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nice setting.
Dislikes:
The only comment would be the bathroom. We were there in a very cold spell and heated towel rail not working. Also shower fixture not working either. Not major problem for one night.
