I stayed here for 2 nights and can only give rave reviews about Fairlawn House. A lovely, extremely comfortable dwelling where the hosts instantly make you feel at home and more than welcome.
I will definitely know where to stay next time I am in the area, that is if they have any vacancies as I am sure they will be much in demand.

The chippy - I definitely recommend the Fairlawn House, but not the local chippy - lol

Thanks for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry you felt the extra breakfasts on your arrival day were a little pricey but we believe that our non-resident rate of £7.50 per head is fair as it includes service, unlimited tea and coffee, continental buffet and our Full English breakfast freshly cooked to order with quality ingredients. We will continue to monitor our pricing against the market and adjust if necessary.

Very friendly owners. Had to leave at early in the morning (before breakfast started) so they made me a Bacon sarnie to-go.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast well cooked. Good parking facilities.
Room was warm and clean
Dislikes:
Shower, toilet handle & sink taps all falling apart. No change from last year despite comments made. Bed uncomfortable - too hard. Paint peeling off window sill in bathroom. No drawers for clothes.

We are sorry you were disappointed. Unfortunately, our refurbishment plans have been slightly delayed which has had a knock on effect to us being able to update some of the rooms before this summer season. It is still a high priority for us to do so and is re-planned for this Autumn/Winter.

Very friendly. Never felt rushed, spotlessly clean. Elegent room.
Dislikes:
Bathroom needs some refurbishing. Mattress was a bit to firm for me but other's may disagree!

Owners and staff extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms were lovely and homely and beds so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful setting. Felt like home from home!

The room was really nice and the breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful and printed out an email for me that I had lost on the train.
