The rooms were a fantastic size, the pool was perfect for our requirements, and breakfasts were ample!!
Dislikes:
It was located at the top of a steep hill which meant an awful lot of walking

As the hotel is slowly being updated, there is still evidence of a previous incarnation, which only adds to its charm. The lounge with the big screen and the play room are a good option on a rainy day

At the hotel we were given a very warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were a resonable size and the beds were comfy with nice crisp clean sheets! We enjoyed the pool each day and, as the weather was beautiful, were able to spend time on the beach each day. It was a relaxing holiday and there is lots to do in the surrounding area (even if weather not sunny). It's good being able to walk into Ilfracombe and not need to always use the car. The children were even given easter eggs as we left! Read less

It was friendly, clean and the breakfasts were outstanding with a huge choice for a small hotel. The pool was lovely and warm and towels were provided for swimming seperate from the white bath towels.

From the moment we walked through the door nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was the best tasting breakfast I have had in a long while. The rooms were clean, bright, unfussy with classy fittings. The swimming pool was a bonus and the gardens have great views down the valley. The hotel is ideally situated for the coastal path and is only 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. Zoe made some good retaurant recommendations and we were welcomed with a drink.
