When we arrived to check in at about 7pm, there was no-one covering reception. Our room was in the roof-space with very low beams, especially in the bathroom. Not ideal as I am over 6 feet tall

"the rom had none of the traditional mill features shown on the website"
The main light bulb started to flash in the night when the light was witched off. I could not switch the water from the bath to the shower could the switch wouldn't stay up.

The room looked nothing like the pictures on their website.
At the check out I was asked to pay again although i already paid for the room in advance via paypal. And the room I stayed in was worth sixty pounds a night (half the money I paid). Read less

We stayed for 2 nights in March 2013. It was a really good location to explore the Cotswolds. Nailsworth is a lovely place to stay and is in close proximity to other attractions. We had breakfast in the restaurant both mornings and it was excellent. The best hotel breakfast I've had in some time. The setting of the hotel is really good and unique, making the most of it being a former mill. We were very comfortable there. Read less

The breakfast. The room was very comfortable. The setting. Lots of parking available. The evening meal and service in the restaurant.
Dislikes:
We thought the bathroom was a bit tired and could do with an upgrade on figments, and a new shower. We were there on Saturday night and there was a lot of noise from the smoking terrace.

So quiet and relax outside watching the ducks and then move to the wood burner to keep warm and still watch the ducks and trout jumping out of the water. The best way to unwind.

The hotel was different and this was why it was chosen.
The room in the garden cottage was spacious and well appointed. The en suite clean and accommodating.
Dislikes:
Unfortunately noise from creaking floors above us and noisy plumbing was a detraction.
One guest left very early and had little thought for the other guests who were trying to sleep doors were banged

There was a wedding that night too and the receptionist thoughtfully put us in a lovely room in the garden House, away from the noise. We loved the room!

We had a meal before we went out which was of very good quality and the breakfast choice and quality was excellent. The working mills were also great. Something really different!
Dislikes:
The only thing that I would comment on, was the room was on a complete slant and you did feel as if you were rolling out of bed, or walking like a crab. We stayed in room 8
