We ordered a paper but the request was not actioned. When checking in the morning the reception staff saw it on the file however had not ordered the paper.

I had clients to visit and following my nights stay at the Egypt Mill Hotel I was not refreshed for my meeting, I was exhausted and tired. The secondary glazing in the rooms is not sufficient to block out the noise from the main road. Other guests at breakfast were moaning about the noise from the road. Read less

The hotel looked inviting and although it was more money than I wanted to pay I thought it would be a comfortable hotel to stay at.
The rooms were clean and there was a good choice at breakfast.
Dislikes:
Room no.15, the secondary glazing was not sufficient to block out the noise from the main road outside, it was really bad, it drove me mad! My bed may aswell have been in the road!!!

Character hotels often suffer from poor lighting - this was true of our room. Unfortuantely, we couldn't open the blinds for natural light because the room was overlooked.

The service was bright and efficient, the room was atmospheric, and breakfast was exceptionally good. The room was not overheated or stuffy, something I usually hate about hotel rooms.
Dislikes:
Its splitting hairs but the bedroom doors are a bit institutional.

The hotel has introduced stylish decor to an old building with lots of character. The setting, almost surrounded by water, is beautiful and allows for al fresco drinking and dining, weather permitting
