Although the owner is nice, the room I stayed in was poorly located (next to the back door and parking). There were people who made a lot of noise at night and who clearly didn't know what respect means as they kept slamming doors. The only thing I wanted was to leave the place. The heat was off most of the time and I think during winter time owners should care a bit more about customers feeling warm and confortable. If you go there, just make sure you don't choose room 10. Read less

Very good location with modern and clean facilities. Biscuits and coffee/tea available in room every day.
Parking was available at back of B&B which was convenient.
Dislikes:
Having to share a bathroom but wasn't a big hassle.

Pre booked over the internet, I turned up at 2pm to check in before going back out to a friends BBQ for the afternoon. I was given Room 2 once it had been changed. This took all of 10 minutes. I think I was just a bit early. I was given a short tour of the place so I knew where the bathrooms were as the place has en suite and communal bathrooms depending on your room.
Whilst the tiling in the bathroom is needed, maybe 10pm is late enough. Breakfast at The Gronge was good. Read less

It is well placed in town. Whilst small this gives it a friendly/family feel. This was also helped by the way the staff were very approachable and friendly. Clean simple room, which was great.
Dislikes:
I wish I could have been able to open the window in my room. I was unsure if the roof light had a mechanism.
