We picked the Birkdale for a short break in the Isle of Wight based on Internet reviews, and were thoroughly glad we did our research as the Birkdale exceeded our expectations. We paid a little extra for the four-poster room, which was large, very comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a lovely ensuite - all looks very recently refurbished. It certainly puts the main hotel chains to shame, and is excellent value for money. Our decision on where to stay next time we come will be very easy! Read less

Superb cooked breakfast with delicious fresh fruit salad, fast and free Internet access, and very easy parking for all guests, so no getting blocked in!
