The river view, the room itself, the warm swimming pool, the nice breakfast, the free parking, the good shower, and the friendly staff.
Dislikes:
No A/C, no fan, hot tap not working very well, king size bed was just 2 singles pushed together, part of the pedestrian access to the hotel is along a busy narrow road with no footpath and no lights.

The staff and their willingness to meet all reasonable requests, the ambience , boutique hotel feel and genuine interest in the guests. We booked on check out for another short break in 2013.
Dislikes:
An overpriced restaurant menu. There was a limited range of options and because we dined late found that the kitchen had run out even though there were just 8 other diners on that Monday evening.
