Although the hotel/ pub is quite small, the rooms are a very good size and are perfect for couples/ families. I loved the pub downstairs and breakfast was great. Location of hotel is perfect.
Dislikes:
Trying to get parked on a Saturday afternoon was a bit of a nightmare so we ended up leaving our car at the wedding venue.

The service at breakfast in our opinion needs to be dramtaically improved. We were not asked what bread (white or brown) we wanted, first morning it was served very burnt. We were served by a grumpy individual who made us fight for some slices of brown bread. First morning we were given one cup of coffee with no offer of a refill. The shower gel, shampoo etc in our bedroom was not replaced for the second day. There were no instructions on how to use the TV system. Read less

We were given information on parking that may have resulted in a fine. There is nothing we liked about this hotel. There is not enough space above or below to tell you how disappointed we were.
Dislikes:
The room was small and poky and we were not warned about loud traffic noises from our room. We were not given the option of sleeping away from the traffic.

Based ourselves in Battle to visit Battle, Hastings and Brighton. So glad we did as Battle itself has a lovely calm feel to it and the hotel staff were friendly and accomodating from beginning to end. Even though the room faced out onto the high street and we had the window open it wasn't too noisy and i slept very well. Read less

The bedroom was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and the location is excellent being right on the high street.
Dislikes:
I would only recommend that during warm weather there should be a fan in the room, i bought my own along as i didn't know whether there would be one or not and it could have been too hot without it.
