our hosts, tom & dot baigan were a most friendly couple who attended to all our needs throughout our stay. the lodge is beautifually furrnished both in the rooms and in the restaurant. it is well located in the suburbs with free parking at the rear and buses run to and from the city on a very regular basis from outside the lodge.
three course dinners were served in restaurant with a wide variety to choose from and the large steaks were a real treat. the buffet breakfast set you up for the day. Read less

the food was of the best quality. breakfasts were buffet style with a large variety of cereals, fruit juices, and fruit followed by a full scottish breakfast freshly cooked with wide choice of items.
Dislikes:
absolutely nothing. this is a 'gem' of a guest house, serving up good food, warm hospitality in a relaxed and friendly manner and is well situated for a stay while visiting the area.

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Aaron Lodge. Both myself and my wife were due to have a kidney transpant and operation at the Royal Infirmary which was unfortunately cancelled. We were able to see the show South Pacific which is just a short taxi ride away on one of the evenings. We have had to re-schedule our operation for June and will be definately booking with the Aaron Lodge again. Customer service is exemplary. Ted and Dot will ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. The perfect place to stay whilst visiting Edinburgh. Our room was spacious and clean, very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. The beds are huge!, the food top class. Thank you.

Everything! Ted and Dot were the perfect hosts! Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was ample and delicious. Dinner at their small restaurant was superb and nicely priced

"Absolutely wonderful place to stay and we have already recommnded it to other people."

Everything. Room, food, friendly people and as I was going to the hospital it was just a short walk away from it.
Dislikes:
Nothing. Apart from the centre of Edinburgh which is a mess. The Aaron Lodge is of the highest standard son there is nothing we did not like about the hotel.

Comfortable room, good food and very friendly staff.
Dislikes:
The only issue I had was that in my room the tooley was positioned too close to the wash hand basin, which made it uncomfortable to sit on.

* There was a good selection of food at breakfast, but the quality of some of it (hashbrowns, coffee & other hot food) was a little lackin
Dislikes:
* If I were to have any complaint it was that the staff were slightly TOO attentive to the point where we felt like we were under watch. (However that is in part the nature of such a small facility.)
