The room was cozy and comfortable and wi-fi was fast and easy. The lodge is located on a convenient bus route to downtown Edinburgh about 15 min away. Read less

The honor bar and lounge made for an entertaining evening and was very convenient. The in house restaurant was very good and had a diverse menu. The breakfast offerings were traditional and tasty.

We stayed at Aaron Lodge during our visit to this years Royal tattoo. Dot and Ken, our hosts, made us feel very welcome and were friendly. our room was spacious and welll appoimted, with a large bed, tea and coffee making facilities. the bathroom had a lovely walk in shower and in general the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent offering both a hot cooked breakfast or continental style buffet. We stayed for 3 nights. Read less

Because the window would not seal properly you could clearly hear the conversations of those sitting around the table directly outside our window (Room 1). The duvet cover was stained on the underside, which I didn't notice until we were leaving, and although we had both a top and bottom sheet this really isn't how things should be, if I had seen it sooner I would have asked for a replacement. Easy public transport links to central Edinburgh.
Dislikes:
Noisy room due to the door between the bar and corridor being wedged open and a window in our room which couldn't be shut properly. If a cooked breakfast is offered it needs to be 'hot' not just warm
