Disappointed with the room - definitely not 4 star.Lake has not been properly maintained for fishing, shrubbery and lilies encroaching near the bank. The room allocated for tackle not fit for purpose.

Sheep in the fields and a friendly cat in the car park. A trip to the local White Horse pub before a evening meal at The Queens in Dennington rounded off the day. Read less

A car is essential to make the most of a break of this nature. Our room was tastefully decorated and furnished very much in character with the age of the property but maintaining a bright and fresh feel throughout. Would happily take a similar break at Colston Hall at some point in the future. Read less

Colston Hall is ideally situated for visiting the quaint seaside resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh, and to generally tour this area of the East Coast. I would add that their breakfasts are great.

Unfussy, quiet location, very handy for Orford Ness, Sutton Hoo and Southwold where we visited.
Dislikes:
Might have liked more description of the property at Colston Hall. Don't know how extensive the garden was or if we could have used it.
