Description
Located in the quiet "chocolate box" village of Thornton Le Dale, The New Inn offers a warm welcome to all guests. A traditional, family run business, we strive to offer excellent value for money, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
Built in 1720, we are a converted Coaching Inn, with beamed ceilings throughout our bar and restaurant, slate flooring and traditional style decoration.
We are situated on a quiet crossroads leading to Whitby, Scarborough, York and The North York Moors National Park. Only 2 miles from Pickering and the steam railway, and a similar distance to Dalby Forest with "Go Ape" and fantastic walking and cycle tracks, we are an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
All our en-suite bedrooms are comfortable, clean and designed to make your stay as relaxing as possible, whilst keeping the traditional ambiance of an old coaching inn.
The food served in our restaurant and bar is all freshly prepared, from locally sourced ingredients where ever possible. With tempting, homemade dishes such as Beef and mushroom stew, Haddock, leek and prawn casserole and our juicy burgers we also offer traditional "pub grub" such as Grilled Gammon, Battered haddock and Sirloin steaks.
In our cozy bar you'll find "Cask Marque" quality hand pulled real ales, a good selection of wines, lagers, soft drinks and spirits as well as freshly brewed coffee or tea.
The real fire will be roaring during the winter months to chase away any cold weather.
