Description

Self Assessed 3 Stars Guest House

The Forest Inn, surrounded by beautiful countryside, is perfect for enjoying countryside walks with (or without) your dog.

The Inn provides a wide range of well equipped, comfortable accommodation. We specialise in home made food using seasonal, locally sourced produce wherever possible. There is an extensive range of dishes on the ever-changing blackboard. With the emphasis on local beers and ciders, you have the opportunity to quench your thirst after the efforts of the day with a drink at the bar or relaxing on the Chesterfields in the lounge area, complete with log fire for winter evenings.

The Inn is situated in a quiet rural location, ideally located for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding areas, being only 48 miles from the Eden Project, 11 miles from the beautiful Lydford Gorge, 22 miles to the sea and 10 miles from Tavistock. Great location for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, fishermen, canoeists or anyone just looking for an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Dartmoor.

The Inn is an ideal stopover for those partaking of the Dartmoor Way or the Two Moors Way.

For the less active, we have a wide selection of books and board games available for guest use.

Plenty of parking is available for guests.
