Good choice for breakfast, need a good appetite if you order the pancakes. Nancy sent email with useful information and restraunt sergestions and make the bookings for evening meals. Good pubs to eat in locally, all serving good food and large portions. Read less

Made to feel very welcome,querky house, bit different from normal hotels. Good location, for goog pubs for evening meals and near Bath, Bristol and Wells.

This is a wonderful hotel. Best we have ever stayed at, lovely owners and not to mention there pets, the dogs were gourgous. we were made very welcome and loved every minute. The bed was very good quality along with all the funiture and fittings. The shower was very powerful and didnt loose hot water like most showers in hotels. This was just a great experience and we will be definatly returning a few times this year. Read less
Dislikes:
Finding all the bad reviews when i got home as these owner work very hard and treat you well, and people moan to much about little things. You people, get a life and try running a hotel to this level.

Loved its character, being shown around, space, our room "barristers " sitting with other guests at breakfast.
Dislikes:
No toiletries in our bathroom, breakfast was over cooked - egg and beans very dry - no mushrooms despite other guest having them!!! Smell of cats in our room and cat in dining room.

Forgive me for smiling at this - guests had all selected a time for breakfast & then did something else...very confusing so worth double checking their orders! Perhaps Pauline would like to try serving 16 for breakfast! ha I do a great job and breakfast is fab! And people should learn to speak up - I take people to get their cars a lot (which I've never been anywhere that did that for me) & if they can't speak up to say we are ready to go, what can I say! Enjoy your walk. Tee hee

We arrived at the hotel after a lovely day in Bath, warmly welcomed by Nancy who quickly booked us in for dinner at The Old Station Inn. The room was full of character with a four poster bed, clean and comfy. Dinner was amazing and i would highly recommend the restaurant. Breakfast was good, blueberry pancakes are a must! Overall a lovely place to stay and a great base to explore he surrounding area. Read less

A one night B & B to celebrate a birthday in a guest house with a difference. We stayed in a converted cell in an old court house which had been expertly converted to provide an atmosphere of history and comfort. The room was small (but what else would you expect from a converted cell) but, comfortable and a bed which gave us an excellent nights sleep. The bathroom a few paces along the hall had an excellent bath/shower for our exclusive use. Breakfast was superb. Read less
