Wonderfull property, full of character. Very freindly and room was immaculate.
Dislikes:
Whirlpool bath didn't work. Access to property is a little rough due to an extremely past its best cattle grid and finding reception is a little difficult. But none of these things were a real issue.

These people snubbed me walking in the door. Very poor. They should have gone to the Holiday Inn. They were in a large group who were here for a local friend's birthday party and the rest of the group could not have been more complimentary & friendly! The fresh fruit even had raspberries /blueberries & we serve top meat from the butcher! I have to give these guests a 1 only as I don't even think the group enjoyed them. Shame. Oh I do hope they never come back...tee hee

The house looks like what it was: a former courthouse. Inside, there are lots of original features and the public rooms, including the court room, are beautifully done out. I booked one of the jail cells, which was small and perfectly formed, with an ensuite toilet and shower cleverly squeezed in to it. The bed was supremely comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with endless fresh coffee. Read less

I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a welcome email from the B&B before I arrived. The hostess was very friendly and informal and made me feel as though I was in my own home.

Owner Nancy is one of the friendliest hosts we have ever come across. The Old Court is beautifully decorated in every room. We were greeting with tea and coffee in the lovely garden and Nancy gave us the go ahead to explore the court. We stayed in the Ann Boleyn cell with the comfiest of beds and charming atmosphere. Breakfast was superb, Nancy was willing to provide any breakfast request. I wanted to come away with the wonderful tapestries and rugs. We look forward to going back. Read less

It was lovely to put our bags down and have a bit of a wonder round and be able to see into the other rooms that were not being used as each as so much character. As i am a big fan dogs the two HUGE ones she owns made my day and they were lovely. Read less

The tea and coffe in the room were not out of packets tea bags in a pot and coffee in a jar.The Sauna and Jacuzzi were amazing.The Landlady Nancy couldn't have been more friendly and helpfull.

I booked the Old Court because it was different, because it had character and quirks, because of the beautiful room full of rich wood tones..and because along with the cells it had a jacuzzi and sauna! We were welcomed into the kitchen when we arrived, made tea, shown around and invited to explore. greeted with fresh tea and coffee, we were shown to our beautiful room and told we were free to have a look around the building. such a wonderful place, the friendly and hard working staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. it felt like we were staying with old friends. our room was tastefully decdorated and the bed was really hard to leave. the shower was amazing, as was breakfast. we couldn't fault the place and would stay again. thank you so much!!
