We stayed at The Pilgrims, as it was local to some friends who were having a party. We arrived on Saturday pm, to a warm welcome from Sally.We decided to have a late lunch-I think our words were 'Wow'! Jools had rustled up an amazing fish stew, and a feast of fish & chips ('proper' fish and chips). We almost wished we weren't going to our party. What more to say-Wonderful monsoon shower will wash aware your cares, uber-comfy beds,all topped off with fabulous breakfast (& great coffee). Read less

The hotel is in a good spot for touring the area. The rooms are each different and beautiful, with a luxurious bathroom.

Looked forward to getting up for the homecooked breakfast, all local ingredients - yummy! The hosts Jools and Sally are really welcoming and give the Pilgrims a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The room decor is stylish, the bar still retains the feel of a pub with the lovely stone and cosy bar and the restaurant isn't grand -proximity to great local attractions - Wells, Glastonbury, Yeovil

The food was excellent and the rooms are very comfortable and clean and reasonably quiet.Sally and Jools are extremely friendly and could not do enough for us like storing a large item we had with us.
Dislikes:
The only slightly negative comment would be that a condiment set would be nice at dinner as well as breakfast as we all season and taste our food differently.
