Stayed one night on business having last stopped in this hotel some twenty years ago. Room was a decent size with a jacuzzi and TV in the bathroom. The staff were genuinely friendly unlike some hotels I have stayed in. Food was excellent. I had the best steak pie I have ever eaten, and I have had a few. Nice fresh vegetables as well. Could not manage a pudding, too full.
Will definitely stay there again. Read less

Nice quiet location. I am a light sleeper, and did not hear a noise all night.
Dislikes:
No real ale on offer. Scotland is home to some excellent beers, and it would be great to see them available.

The room was well set up, including an iron and ironing board, and the shower was fantastic. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a little disappointing - the food could have been warmer and having a jug of milk on each table would have been a big improvement. Read less

I have stayed at this hotel many times before, the staff never let me down, they are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble, to the point that, as I had to leave at 7:30 am for a business meeting and breakfast did not start till 7:30, Mark opened the kitchen and made me breakfast at 7:00am.
