Only issue was breakfast we were not informed of the change of time. We ended up having to wait up to an hour for service. Mix up with staffing eg no chef but Manager coped well with problems and made sure we were all fed!!. Read less

We arrived late, welcomed with night caps and offer of a late breakfast. Next day we boarded at Glenshee then came back to a necessary hot bath with limitless hot water. We then had a fantastic evening meal clearly the exceptional efforts of a talented chef. Whilst the wine list was short, the offerings were highly quaffable, so we didn't hold back. Overall an excellent weekend in a hotel that felt like home. We will visit again Read less

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in its own ground and excellently restored with large well furnished clean rooms.
The staff are freindly and helpful and the food is fantastic.

The location is fabulous. The peacock, peahens and pea babies were enchanting. The breakfasts were awesome!
Dislikes:
I felt that the bar area could possibly be made a little more homely, the chairs were placed around the edge of the room so it felt a little like a waiting room... great gin and tonics, though!
