The room was nice and comfy and clean
Dislikes:
Wifi Didn't work In room OR downstairs at breakfast either.
Modern Flat screen TV did not have subtitles.
Breakfast SAusage and Black pudding Both Undercooked and Mushy Inedible.

Very convenient for Balbirnie House where family wedding reception was being held.
Dislikes:
Poor noise insulation. Daughters and grandchildren stayed one night-adults could not get meal in room (party taking place downstairs) but children could! Adults got takeaway, ate in room.Sort it out!

There's no real reception area; just a pull down bureau that's staffed by whichever bar staff is closest. There's no lift so bags have to be hauled up three flights. The general decor is c.1990. Food is pub fair but watch if you need your food prepped in specific ways - apparently the steaks under the heading "from the grill" are fried because they've 'not got the right grill" Read less

The room was ok. Small for a family room but seemed a bit more recently refurbished than the rest of the hotel, although the effect was somewhat ruined by the scuff marked floor. Staff were friendly.
Dislikes:
The cheap mattress with every spring experienced to full dig. We left after 1 night and paid for the 2nd without complaint just to get out of there.

Handy for the location of the wedding and much cheaper than the wedding location
Dislikes:
There was faulty wiring on the socket for the kettle as it kept switching off and on and one other socket did not work at all.
