Arrived after a long journey to a warm personal welcome and shown to a warm,comfortable room.
Slept really well,the peace and quiet...bliss!
We were a little late going down to breakfast,my daughter found it difficult to get out of the shower as it was so good.
We were able to come and go as we wished and the
surrounding area is beautiful.
Unfortunately we didn't get to dine at the restaurant this time but we would certainly recommend it.

People are very friendly and ensuring that you have a great stay,is a priority.
The Countryman Inn also has a great restaurant.

The chef was a young local lad who created some fabulous dishes worthy of a city centre restaurant. Breakfast was cooked and served by the lovely lady from the local farm. Overall, a great stay. Overnight stay whilst attending local horse racing stables. Sunday lunch was first class. The bar was full of character and would certainly impress a horse racing enthusiast. The bar was complete with homely log burning fire.
The accomodation was warm and clean, and the rooms have all recently been refurbished.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was superb.
All in all, a great stay, and I will definitely be returning in the future. Read less

Room was very roomy with comfortable beds and a fully fitted,gorgeous bathroom.A fairly lively pub,but noise was not a problem.
We had an evening meal at the pub,very good and reasonanably priced.

No bath mat ( improvised with hand towel)
Couldn't work heated towel rail & couldn' t see how to.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the trouble to submit a review. I am sorry your bath mat had not been placed in the room. We would have been happy to provide one had to raised this at the time. The heated towl rail operates automatically from the solar powered central heating. It had been turned off by a previous guest. I has now been corrected and the control imobilised. Thank you again for staying and for the feedback that highlighted the issue and allowed us to correct it.
