Thank you for your comments - the heating was on all night during your stay - the radiators are on a thermostat. so
probably the previous occupant had turned it off - regarding double glazing - we would have to have replacement windows
as we are a listed building, I am sorry you were cold - the Old Manse is generally a warm house. Kind regards Valerie

Convenient location for the Moors. Quiet localtion.
Dislikes:
As in many such places, a piece of the room had been carved off to form a bathroom - not entirely satisfactory in execution with a badly fitting sliding door.

the dividing is sometimes difficult, however on a positive side I glad you found us friendly - I will

Beautiful old house only 10 minutes walk from Pickering town centre. The lady who greated us was very friendly. She offered to make us a sandwich in addition to the pot of tea she provided on arrival

Received warm welcome and a much needed cup of tea Rooms very comfortable and clean, breakfast was cooked to order and was exceptional. All staff very friendly, hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere

Fighting with the gate to get into and out of the car park but that was probably down to our incompetence!
