Everything! Stunning location (despite the rain!) the lodge was beautiful, very peaceful and calm, hot tub lovely and the added Champayne was the best!!
The italian restaurant is a definite must!
Dislikes:
Should have booked longer!!

Had a fantastic and relaxing stay. Wasn't long enough, but it never is! Stayed in the beautiful Mistletoe Mansion this time rather than quirky Love in the Mist. Decided to change loadges purely for a more luxurious stay but would return to either of the lodges without hesitation. Fed the chickens with our left over chinese noodles and rice which they thoroughly enjoyed! Spent a lovely time in the jacuzzi, but was freezing when we came out into the October evening! Can't wait to return! Read less

Two night romantic break self catering in Snowdrop Cottage with extras such as Champagne and strawberries on arrival, breakfast hamper and an evening meal at an excellent local Italian restaurant (taxis included). Very convenient for many local attractions. Went house hunting in Sandbanks (no luck) and visited Brownsea Island which was excellent and relaxing. No time to explore Avon Heath Country Park through the back door gate but understood from others staying this has wonderful walks too. Read less

Many thoughtful extras included were a nice touch. Very comfy bed and easily warmed cottage with all mod cons.. yet right on hand for the great outdoors wildlife experience too. Cup of tea on arrival!
Dislikes:
Very small washbasin in bathroom not practical for wash and shave and shower/bath could have been hotter (although understand need for safety with water temperature - but basin was much hotter).

Accommodation was clean and everything available. Owners could not do enough for you.
Dislikes:
Just a little out of the area for us. Perhaps slightly on the pricey side but it was something different.

Thank you for the review, while we are just outside the New Forest, we do back onto Avon Heath Country Park. We are in the middle of nowhere but centre of the universe -many places just a short drive away.
Most of our lodges are a minimum 3 nights. We offer the 2 night "Romantic breaks" for special celebrations, in the case of Snowdrop cottage includes use of hot tubs, champagne, strawberries, taxi ride to the restaurant ( & back) a 3 course meal + bottle of wine. Glad you would recomend us.

The lodge was warm, comfortable, clean and well appointed. The owners were welcoming and friendly.
Dislikes:
We live in a very quiet corner of Somerset, so found noise from the nearby road and dog kennels rather intrusive. However this was not so noticeable indoors and would possibly not be noticed by many.

It was cosy and had everything we needed. There was a pool and hot tubs, but the weather felt too cold to use them at this time of year. Comfy bed and friendly owners. Pretty with wildlife close by.
Dislikes:
You need to be quite agile to get up and down the steep spiral staircase - not a problem for us, but it took some getting used to!

Thank you for your review. We do put a description about each lodge and do hope that potential guests take the time to read them to establish which lodge will be the most suitable for them. The wildlife is particularly pretty at the moment with a badger seen last week and glorious birds including woodpeckers and nuthatches.
