I stayed at the Cockhaven with my partner as it was one of the few hotels in the local area that allowed pets. We arrived and met by the owner who was one of the most hospitable proprietors that I have been fortunate to meet. He immediately noticed that we had been could be put in a more appropriate room for the dog and with no fuss at all we were changed rooms for our benefit. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it and the bar staff were characters. Couldn't be happier. Read less

The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped, the bed comfortable and a perfect size. In fact the room was excellent, the hotel itself is clean, bright and full of character with an amazing staff.
Dislikes:
I am a fairly critical guest as I like to get value for money in the current economic climate, but there is nothing I could find fault with. Utterly splendid.

Lovely room with good views & very comfortable bed.
Breakfast delicious & friendly service from all staff.

our room was large and light and overlooked the garden, breakfasts were good and evening meals tasty.The hotel has a bar that serves some local beers and is a pleasant place to spend time in.
