Loved the minimalist theme to the Shortwood room and the new ensuite. All we wanted was provided. The meals were all superb, a sheer delight. Staff very informed and friendly. Relaxed environment.

We had the tasting menu for August which was simply sublime. Matthew has created an intersting menu allowing people to try things they maybe wouldn't choose. The same goes for the accompanying Wine Flight - Henry was very knowledgable and happy to answer any of our questions. nearly 10/10 just needs a power shower Read less

I liked everything the room was extemely spacious with good facilities and I liked the quirkyness of the room . with exposed stone walls... The Beds were extremely comfortable .
Dislikes:
Had separate bathroom not great but wasnt too bad. Would book en suite next time . Could do with a bigger better TV was a bit old and picture going a bit.

Very attentive but not pushy people, knew what they were doing
Dislikes:
Room great but as it was such a hot night we had to leave the window wide open and I found that noisy (my husband slept like a log!)

Stunning lunch, wine, cocktails and dessert. Lovely bed, window and wardrobe! Kind to look for robes for us (as promised online).
Dislikes:
We hated the glass walled bathroom, with no ceiling in our bedroom, facing the sofa! Shower wall and floor tiles looked grubby - didn't want to use :(

The room was lovely and very clean and was decorated very tastfully. The staff are very friendly and we were even asked what time we wanted breakfast which was great especially after a late night!
