Golden silence for a goodnight sleep and being awaken with sound of bird songs. Looking out from windows, one could see a beautifully cared garden with birds roaming about.

Wanted to have a couple of nights chill out prior to picking in-laws up from Southampton following their cruise. We couldn't have picked a better location, Langrish House Hotel is steeped in history and a fantastic location to explore the majestic countryside surrounding it. Our room was beautiful and had a fantastic view from the window. Breakfast was lovely, and a good choice with full english or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs as well as all the other trimmings. We stayed for a wedding. I phoned the night before to ask if we could check in early as we had to be at the wedding at 2. The person I spoke to said that was fine, as our room was empty. However the other two couples had done similar earlier in the week and were charged a fee even though their rooms were also empty. We booked a taxi for 1.20 at 11.45 when we arrived and at 1.30 we went to see what was happening which was when the staff admitted they hadn't been able to book one. Rooms poor. Read less

Room and indeed whole hotel run down and in desperate need of refurbishment.
Room didn't even have a stand up shower and smelled as was above kitchen

Full English breakfast and very helpful staff.
Dislikes:
Heating in bedroom not working. Buffet parts of breakfast ran out, as did salmon. Guests kept having to ask for glasses. Coffee splatters on wall and tablecloth. Would expect to pay half of price.

Thank you. You kindly thought the staff "very helpful". The full English breakfast was cooked by our two AA Rosetted chefs. We are most sorry about the airlock in your room radiator. The back-up electric heater is not the same we know. If the breakfast buffet station was not replenished sufficiently frequently, this was certainly an error.
