Rye is a historic town in a part of Sussex rich in Castles, Abbeys, Forts and Museums. In Rye itself there are museums at the Town Hall and Ypres Castle. There is also Lamb House, once the home of Henry James. A short drive will take you to Bodiam, Hastings, Battle, Brighton or Canterbury, all steeped in history. The countryside of Kent and Sussex surrounding Rye is some of the best in the South of England, with its unspoilt villages and peaceful seashore.

M20 at Ashford(approx 14 miles)
Situated on the A259 east of Hastings, Rye is a short drive from the M20 as you leave Ashford on the A2070.
If travelling south on the A21, take the B2089 to Rye.
Nearest airports are Gatwick and Lydd. Rye has easy access from the Channel Tunnel (35 minute drive) and also the Ports of Dover and Newhaven.
London Charing Cross(approx 65 miles)
If travelling by train leave from London Charing Cross to Ashford International, then change at Ashford for Rye.
Travel time approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
