This is the second time I have recently stayed at The Black Horse Inn whilst on business nearby. I will certainly be using it from on as my preferred option whenever I need to stop over in Kent.
Quite simply, the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, the dinner menu is excellent, and the breakfast is just right. The ambience of the place is really friendly and the pub oozes rural charm. With no unnecessary frills, it is exactly what you need after a long drive. Read less

The food from the evening menu is fantastic - I have not had a bad meal yet, and the wine selection compliments perfectly.
Havig a cafetierre in the room is a really nice touch.
Dislikes:
No, but the motorway traffic noise can be a little intrusive in what is otherwise a rural idyll. The signal to the satellite TV can sometimes be a little patchy, but it is in the countryside!

We were able to relax and destress.
Dislikes:
Loved the room, the restuarant could do with a wider range of food or change the times of the extra menu to be able to eat a bit later then before 7 and the tea at breakfast was warm i like hot tea.

An overnight break without the children to celebrate my husband's birthday. Arrived early evening, had booked into restaurant for evening meal. Place was lively and welcoming. Very busy but we were extremely well looked after and the food and wine was really good. We were able to relax very quickly and switch off after a busy week. We slept well and enjoyed a tasty breakfast followed by a walk along the downs. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Read less

we were welcomed into a nice warm room, out of the snow. staff in restaurant we very pleasant and attentive and the food was very nice.
Dislikes:
In comparison to other hotels we have stayed in the beds were quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. It was a shame as the sheets and other soft furnishings seemed good quality.

Dislikes:
Found the lack of glass shower screen in the bathroom meant the whole floor was wet after a shower. So someone who wanted to use the Toilet or Sink would get their feet wet.
