Crocus was not as comfortable as our previous stay in Bluebell because there were no armchairs to sit in? The lady in the office said to move the extra bed to sit on, but it was both heavy and inconve

can't believe the duck pond had gone !!!! to be replaced by a car park, but worse than that a crunchy pebble car park that if you are sleeping nearby is very noisy when cars are moving in and out.

The large airy rooms are very comfortable and the wet room is lovely. Parking directly to the front of the accommodation is a great idea.
The reception staff and the bar staff were all very fiendly

The welcome from friendly staff just sets off the standard your about to get from this beautiful place. As they say first impressions last and they definitely do here which is why i have returned.
Dislikes:
The only complaint i have is the quality of the matresses. Very hard and not comfortable although i do have a bad back but if this was rectified i realy wouldnt have any complaints.

This is the second time I have recently stayed at The Black Horse Inn whilst on business nearby. I will certainly be using it from on as my preferred option whenever I need to stop over in Kent.
Quite simply, the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, the dinner menu is excellent, and the breakfast is just right. The ambience of the place is really friendly and the pub oozes rural charm. With no unnecessary frills, it is exactly what you need after a long drive. Read less

The food from the evening menu is fantastic - I have not had a bad meal yet, and the wine selection compliments perfectly.
Havig a cafetierre in the room is a really nice touch.
Dislikes:
No, but the motorway traffic noise can be a little intrusive in what is otherwise a rural idyll. The signal to the satellite TV can sometimes be a little patchy, but it is in the countryside!
