another room available, although your room is popular with some guests ie view & bath. We do offer a varied breakfast, if you have a favourite for breakfast just mention at the point of booking, we're happy to oblige.Cleanliness is not an issue here, please refer to the many positive reviews, !.5m from city, quiet location www.cliftonhousehotel.com

I couldn't believe just how good it was. Quiet, attractive, surrounded by garden. Full of character, bedroom comfortable very good breakfast. Staff friendly and very helpful. Parking off street.

The hotel was very well run and welcoming and we immediately felt at home when we got there. The building was full of lovely character and furnishings and breakfast was lovely!
Dislikes:
I would have liked a bath in the en suite as it's easier with small children but there was a bath available on a lower floor. Otherwise a perfect stay!

I'm working in Newcastle and wanted a cheapish clean and comfortable guest house or B&B and Clifton House more than exceeded expectations. The room was very clean and very comfortable and the staff very friendly and prepared to arrange a continental breakfast for my 6.45 early morning departure which was unexpected. Hotel is easy to find and get to, and is not far from major bus routes into Newcastle but quiet enough to guarantee a good nights sleep. Highly recommended. Read less

The room and bathrooms at this end of the market was immaculately clean and very comfortable with toiletries and a welcome tray, service was excellent and the hotel is generally very quiet at night.
Dislikes:
Car parking is fine if the hotel is not busy, problematic if full and you want an early departure, shared bathroom bedrooms are on the 2nd floor with no lifts.

Double en suite rooms were very clean and comfortable with tea/coffee tray included. Breakfast was freshly brewed tea or coffee, self service for juice, cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt, full English breakfast (or combination or your own choice) cooked to order, served by friendly and efficient waitres. She even drew us a map to show where the good local curry house was (it was excellent) and where to get the bus into Newcastle City Centre. Our room was nice and cosy and comfortable and we will definitely stay there again when we travel back up to Newcastle. Read less

The host, hostess and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

The hotel is not situated in a particularyl nice area of Newcastle, and the TV in the room could do with updating.
