We were greeting by lovely welcoming owners/staff. Lovely room and very comfy bed (had trouble leaving it in the morning!). Great location a minute or two from the seafront and 5 minutes walk from the city centre shops and bars. Breakfast in bed was a nice treat too. We would definitely recommend this hotel and go back again! Read less

I’ve stayed in this lovely, well-located B&B four times and would definitely return again. It is located right by the seafront and within walking distance from most cool things to see and do. The rooms I’ve stayed in have been small but clean, with modern furnishings and interesting artwork on the walls. Breakfasts are served in the room at a time specified by the guest on the previous night and the champagne, warm croissants, and fruit are delicious. Other places don't compare. Read less

Nice bath products, comfy beds, and personal touches such as umbrellas and terrycloth dressing gowns add luxury. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant recommendations given.

I have stayed at Hotel Nineteen before on both business and for pleasure and this was my 4th year running. Once again the service and value for money did not disappoint. Lovely touch is that your breakfast is served each morning on a tray and includes freshly baked croissants (yum, yum) and much healthier than the usual serving of Full English! Read less

Central location, friendly staff and a welcome that is second to none!
Dislikes:
The seagulls - which were pretty nouisy in the early morning hourse - but Hotel Nineteen get round this by supplying each guest with complimentary ear plugs!

Would have been nice to have more electrical outlets in the room (probably impossible considering the age of the building).

Arrived earlier than was expected, this obviously annoyed the owner, Mark, who was rude and had no social skills whatsoever. Arif, his partner was lovely and seemed to do all the work. Later, my husband accidentily banged the front door, which brought Mark out, who instead of just asking nicely, careful with the door, shouted at him! No cooked breakfast on offer and a dirty throw on the bed with stains, and the real worry was too many plugs (seven) stuck in extension leads! Read less

Not alot, Mark saw me to the door when we checked out, I turned to say thanks and he shut the door in my face.

I am sorry that you feel so annoyed by me, but you exaggerate somewhat: I do not shout at my guests and I do not close the door in their face! For your information a few days before you came I was told I have advanced cancer.
You also exaggerate about the electrical sockets. All of our electrical appliances are tested annually, in line with the law.
